And where they are celebrating is at Banorte, whose president is Carlos Hank González, as the foundation has reached its 20th anniversary. Over the past two decades, the Mexican bank has formed more than 250 strategic alliances, through which it has been present in supporting families in the face of natural disasters, as well as through education and health programs.

Currently, the foundation is headed by Jimena Prado Lebrija and works on the basis of five pillars of support, ranging from housing, education, health, nutrition, and women’s empowerment.

Of course, women’s empowerment is an important issue, as it seeks to break the cycle of extreme poverty and generate real development opportunities that have benefited 3,000 women in the country.

In terms of housing, it has built, expanded, or renovated 6,500 homes in communities such as the State of Mexico, Chihuahua, Yucatán, Oaxaca, Guerrero, Veracruz, Puebla, Nuevo León, and Chiapas. In education, it has helped more than 70,000 people by building classrooms, awarding scholarships, and implementing workshops that open doors to knowledge, among other contributions to the community. Good teamwork.
