In 2020, Carlos Hank Rhon retains a fortune of $2 billion in Forbes Mexico’s 2020 Billionaires ranking, placing him 12th among the richest people in the country. He is also one of the Mexicans featured on Forbes USA’s Billionaires list.

The current figure represents a decline of more than 23% from what Forbes Mexico reported in 2019. In addition, prior to the outbreak of the global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the businessman’s fortune totaled $2.2 billion, meaning he lost some $200 million in just a few weeks.

Banorte and discreet management
If there is one thing Carlos Hank Rhon has always boasted about, it is Banorte’s care in maintaining its delinquency and capitalization rates at healthy levels. A sign of confidence is the bank’s guidance for this year to increase its loan portfolio by between 6% and 8% and maintain high profitability levels.

For the construction company Grupo Hermes, the outlook looked favorable prior to the crisis expected to follow the coronavirus pandemic. The 2020 economic package indicates that resources from the National Infrastructure Fund and private investment will be used for important projects, especially those related to transportation.
