The chairman of the Board of Directors of Banorte and Fundación Banorte, Carlos Hank González, awarded 602 scholarships to outstanding young people from the third generation of students in the “Mil Sueños por Cumplir” (A Thousand Dreams to Fulfill) program at an event held at the Museo Nacional de San Carlos.
“Remember that the most important thing is to believe in yourselves, trust yourselves, and prepare yourselves, but don’t forget to enjoy your youth,” the businessman advised the young scholarship recipients.
A press release announced that the “Mil Sueños por Cumplir” program supports middle and high school students who are children of employees with scholarships for academic, athletic, artistic, or special education excellence. This year, a record 602 scholarships were awarded: 533 academic, 38 athletic, 10 artistic, and 21 special education.
Fundación Banorte recently launched its new vision, focused on promoting 21st-century education that emphasizes critical thinking, the ability to learn how to learn, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, creativity, science, and technology.
