On World Savings Day, celebrated on October 31, Carlos Hank González stressed the importance of savings in Mexico, both for the development of its population and for the growth of the country itself.

The National Banking and Securities Commission highlights in the 2018 National Financial Inclusion Report that there are 1.2 deposit accounts per adult in the country and that 5 out of 10 adults have an Afore account.
